Menu bar items on macOS do not show their symbols and icons

Menu items with a Symbol (or Icon) show the glyph beside their caption in the Menu Bar Designer, but a running app's menu bar on macOS shows text only. For example, setting Symbol = Accept on a File → New item previews correctly in the designer, yet the running app's File menu has no icon. Context menus and toolbar menus show the same symbols correctly. Menu bar items on macOS should display the selected symbol and icon, matching the designer preview and the other menu surfaces.
