Menu shortcuts in desktop app menu bars can be shown but not invoked on Windows and Linux. New desktop apps also advertise Ctrl+Q for Quit even though that is not the Windows convention and the shortcut does not work there. Menu shortcuts should invoke their menu items on Windows and Linux, and the default Quit item should not show a misleading Ctrl+Q shortcut outside macOS.
